this year i don’t really have any resolutions. resolutions usually fail anyway, you know go to the gym, go to church, lose ten pounds, do your homework. yeah those last about three weeks at most. but i have goals sure, mostly its just not to screw up too much. what do you think of resolutions?

hair powder. i never even thought of it before. you know when your hair gets all greasy right before you have to be somewhere and look all nice and cute? sucks, doesn’t it? well, you can just get this stuff, spray it on your little noggin, and BAM! greasies are all gone. it comes in a bunch of different colors, so theres something for everyone. great for color treated hair that you don’t want to wash as much, too. now personally, i think this stuff is genius. but that’s just me. probably a lot of people think that’s disgusting and you should just wash your hair more. but hey, what ever floats your boat right?

Lets hope someone can avoid falling on their knees. Anyway, I’m excited for this year everyone looks really good on the preshow. I ADORE demi lovato’s dress, she looks adorable, and rihannah looked pretty fierce. Christian Siriano was on the pre-show, and man he’s fierce, now Christina Aguliera is performing and i’m not really digging her bangs but, hey she’s awesome  i’m gonna keep a running commentary here, editing when i think things need to be added. (this is katy by the way) and torrey may update too, since she’s probably thinking about it too. man i wish i could be on the red carpet.

so, jimmy kimmel is insane. (happy sweet sixteen Miley, your dress is hella pretty). and dayum that was rough my friend. attacking Jaylor AND Niley i feel bad that the Jonas brothers have to go on Jimmy Kimmel this week that’s gonna be awkward. So, Christina was an epic win, even though her dancing was iffy. ps. i’ll put up a list of all the winners at the bottom. New kids on the Block, pretty cool kids but their performance is weirding me out a little. Its like BSB or N*SYNC got older and stole the jonas brothers clothes. But don’t listen to me, i was not there the first time around. So don’t bite my head off.

T-Pain, wow that outfit was scary, but Paris Hilton looked absolutely gorgeous. I love pinks dress and her hair, very 30s-40s standard singer with her flapper back up signers. P!nk i should say, she’s so hard core.

Taylor Swift is beautiful, but her hair looks kinda frizzy. but anyway, i was totally expecting her to sing something along the lines of love story, but White Horse is a pleasant surprise,  it’s my second favorite off the new album, Hey Stephen. It appears as if she is looking at Joseph, but that’s just speculation. and for the record, White Horse was NOT written for Joe, it was on the album too early. Ne-Yo is on now, and man he is FINE. closer is quite possibly the best song ever and man he wins at mic tricks. dude a Joe Jonas/Ne-yo mic trick battle would be so sweet!

KANYEEEEEE! I’m really glad he won, i strongly dislike Lil’ Wayne. Kanye doesn’t match very well but he’s so cool. Side note, ama’s like the physical award look dangerous. Like i would fall on it and pierce my liver. Apparently he wants to be Elvis, that’s interesting. JMAC! he’s a pretty boy. I’ve loved the kid since dream street. Leona Lewis is really cool, oh she looks really pretty!

Billy Ray introducing Miley? That’s odd but i’m excited for her performance. He looks like he’s wearing eyeliner and he needs to shave his stache. Fly on the wall! woot! i like her outfit! i hate her for her hair. but yes she’s fantastic. as i said earlier happy sweet sixteen!awh david archuleta is REALLY short or the girl from Secret Life is really tall. Cowboy hats should not be worn inside. HE’S GOT JOKES! i love funny celebrities. So coldplays great and all, but i just really they aren’t my favoiret. Colbie Callait is so pretty but she looked really nervous. Go alicia, i love love love love love her dress.

Wu-Tang clan can’t name the Jonas brothers. Go Mariah! I had no idea she was even close to those records! Her dress is really pretty but how can she walk in it?! and frequently forget that she is married to Nick Cannon that’s so random. I like that song, and Nick Lachey is wearing a bit too much grey. Wow she’s too cute!  i love her dress and her shoes are killer. I love celebrities that are genuinely excited about things. Fact: she grew up like two hours away from me. If you haven’t bought her album yet, do it ASAP! It’s too cute. just like herlol. Daughtry. Chris looks like he’s wearing Nicks Suit. Rihanna’s hair preplexes me but i love her dress. It does look like Nick J’s gross short hair. I mean, dapper, mature short hair.

The Fray, they are one of those bands that i always mean to buy their album because i like their singles a lot but i never remember to. I’m getting better at that though the shopping cart feature on iTunes is a god send for sure. kind like transformers…sorry clerks reference. if you haven’t seen that movie. do it!  But back to the AMA’s this is actually not my favorite song. it’s just not that grand. Enrique is spicy hot. and i love jordin sparks! boys, you look sharp. nick you’re hairs a little weird please grow it out, and joe please fall. Jimmy, kanye’s gonna beat you up. Beyonce is so flipping fierce. seriously. i love this song, but the camera angles are weird, it looks like its on a delay or something. her fierce band is great too.

Go Alicia, girl wins again! I really her eye make up too! its all silvery. I love demi, she’s too cute. and now the boys, i’m mad joe didn’t fall. it would have been a funny running gag, like choreograph a knee slide. oh no! my mom is making me turn off the computer. boo having to be controlled by my mom. but on one last note…wow pcd. stripper poles?! really?!

we’ll report back when we are alive enough to post. Which for me is probably gonna be a while. Tomorrow, i have a field trip, a Jazz Band Lock-in as in staying up all night playing music and other things, i’ll give you the details when i give you my Twilight review. Then i have tap team in the morning, with my parnter in blog (like crime but blog) and then i have to work. It’s gonna be insane i have no sleep in like 2904382843 hours coming up so have an awesome day and go see twilight!

no, i’m not from texas, obviously, but anway! this is katy this time, i figured i needed to post an anecdote or an intro or something just so its more than just torrey’s lonely post down there! well i’m katy, torrey basically shares my brain. but i also have the ability to think for myself. this blog, is going to be entertaining i can almost guarantee it. so my first pop culture blurb for this, has to do, with the death of a dear, dear influence of my life. TRL died yesterday. It gave it’s last countdown, and carson signed off for the last time. A part of our culture is gone for now, though it will hopefully find some sort of revival. i am definitely in mourning though. so when people actually look at this, i’m gonna ask you to share a thought or a memory of TRL. i remember, the first music video i ever saw, was a No Doubt video when i was about seven, so a year after the show started. and i was so intrigued by MTV even though i wasn’t allowed to watch it so i snuck it on while my mom was doing something with my then four year old little brother. but yes thats my story.

and i had a good comeback today

a good friend of both torrey and i’s, lets call him D, failed a test recently. you may be wondering why this is significant? well, D failed, with a cheat sheet hidden between his legs. of course, i took the opportunity to make a sexual joke. and it was something along the lines of “you just aren’t good with things in between your legs dude!”
